Landscape photography workshop: Capture natural beauty like a pro (12-13 April 2025)

"Learn how to capture the majesty of nature through your lens. In this workshop, we will explore the composition, lighting and editing techniques needed to create stunning images of natural landscapes."

Objectives of the workshop:

How to use natural light and weather conditions to enhance your photos
Landscape photo composition: Find the perfect balance between natural elements and the best framing options
Exposure techniques and use of filters to create unique effects
Using digital editing to enhance your landscape photos

Methodology: This workshop is divided into theoretical and practical sessions, where you will have the opportunity to put into practice what you have learnt in a unique landscape environment, receiving personalised feedback on the spot.

Nivel: Intermediate/Advanced

Duration: 2 days (weekend) | Dates: 12-13 April. This workshop is designed for photographers of all levels, from beginners to advanced, who wish to improve their skills in landscape photography.

Requirements: Requires DSLR or mirrorless camera, at least one lens somewhere in the range of 16-70 millimetres focal distance, comfortable backpack for your camera, comfortable clothes and shoes for walks in the forest and sufficient memory on your camera's SD card. A tripod is highly recommended. Filters are optional, but we do recommend a circular polarizing filter. Learn more: My recommendations for practical gear for landscape photography.

What do participants take away at the end of the workshop? You will gain access to tips and techniques from a professional photographer, learn how to effectively compose your photos and receive edited images so you can continue to improve on your own.

Brief summary of the workshop:

SATURDAY APRIL 12

15:00 For those whom are not driving to El Tiemblo, there are bus rides from Príncipe Pío station.
17:00 - 17:15 Meeting point will be the hotel reception. Official welcome.
17:15 - Twilight (Golden Hour / Blue Hour) outdoor photography workshop.
20:00 - 21:00 Lecture on composition and the importance of light.
21:00 Dinner with group and networking.

SUNDAY APRIL 13

6:30 Ride from "El Tiemblo" to the natural park of "Valle de Iruelas".
7:00 - 11:00 Landscape photo workshop in the valley.
11:30 Ride back to the village (El Tiemblo).
12:00 - 14:00 Lecture on advanced techniques and post editing. If you have a laptop with Adobe Photoshop and Camera RAW installed, you are welcome to bring it.
14:30 - 16:00 Lunch with group.
16:00 - 17:00 Questions and answers.
18:00 Bus departure back to Madrid city "Príncipe Pío" station for those whom do not have their own vehicle.
